§ I. About Me

My name is Teddy Damwijk. I work with objects, buildings and stories — and the people who love them.

I'm a cultural heritage professional based in Amsterdam, completing my BA in Art History at the University of Amsterdam. My work is rooted in a deep passion for the arts, storytelling, and building meaningful cultural connections.

My practice spans curating exhibitions, developing museum education, conducting research, and rethinking how we engage with heritage — with hands-on experience across galleries, art fairs, and experimental programming for museums such as Paleis Het Loo and the Rijksmuseum.

Alongside my studies I've worked in galleries and at art fairs, guided tours through the Rijksmuseum, and built programmes with academies and heritage institutions. I like the moment where research becomes something a visitor can actually feel.

I'm drawn to the personal, the everyday, the in-between — the stories that usually stay in the background.
